The Sitter will provide in-home pet care and house-sitting services for the Client's pets and home as described above, which is incorporated into this Agreement by reference. Services may include, without limitation, feeding and care of pets, dispensing medication as instructed, walks/exercise, basic home upkeep (mail, trash, plants, lights), and other tasks specifically agreed between the parties.
Enter the agreed daily rate; the total fee is the daily rate multiplied by the number of days from the start date to the end date, inclusive, and the payment schedule is calculated automatically from that total.
Accepted payment methods will be confirmed directly with the Sitter (e.g. check, Venmo, Zelle, or other arrangement agreed in advance).
The Client will provide the Sitter with the access, codes, and instructions described above (keys, alarm codes, Wi-Fi, off-limits areas, and any other household or property access). The Sitter will follow the Client's instructions regarding security systems, guests, and other household rules as recorded there.
The Client authorizes the Sitter to seek and/or authorize veterinary care for the Client's pet(s) in an emergency, using the veterinary and emergency-contact information provided above. The Sitter will make a reasonable effort to reach the Client or the designated emergency contact first. Any veterinary costs incurred are the Client's responsibility and will be billed to the Client.
If the Sitter becomes unable to complete the engagement due to illness, emergency, or other unforeseen circumstance, the Sitter will notify the Client as soon as reasonably possible and either arrange for an agreed-upon backup/substitute or refund the Client for any unused portion of the booking.
The Sitter may take photos or short videos of the Client's pet(s) during the stay to share updates with the Client. Photos will not be shared publicly or used for promotional purposes without the Client's separate consent.
The Sitter will exercise reasonable care in performing these services. Except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct, the Sitter's total liability arising from this Agreement is limited to the total booking fee paid by the Client for this engagement. The Client is encouraged to maintain homeowner's or renter's insurance covering their property and belongings.
The Sitter performs these services as an independent contractor and not as an employee, partner, or agent of the Client.
This Agreement, together with the Client's submitted details above, constitutes the entire understanding between the parties for this booking. Any changes must be agreed in writing (including by email) by both parties.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Oregon.
